Everybody likes a great view! But getting to this one is somewhat of a challenge. A steep rocky road with hairpin turns and cliffs right next to the road, or maybe we should call it a trail. The last section from Hell Hole Pass to the peak is only 2.3 miles, but, it gains 1,486 ft. in elevation. Half of this elevation gain is in the last 1/2 mile. This is not a trip to take lightly, go with friends. The road changes all the time according to Dan who has made the trip up here many times. Hopefully you won't run into anyone going the opposite way, there are places where you could pass! To take this trip up to the towers you'll need a 4 wheel drive with good tires and a good driver. Be careful and use your own judgement. Not to be done if there is snow in the higher elevations!
The other part of this trip is Joshua Tree Road - Bulldog Road over Bulldog Pass. There are many side roads off of this trip including one to the Apex Mine and Virgin River overlooks.
Video/Slideshow, Beaver Dam Mts.
We only made it to the first (lower) set of towers. Dan said the road to the upper towers was doable. We'd had enough at this point, check the video to see why. It's 18 minutes long but we wanted to include the trip down as well, we think it'll be worth the time to watch it. Very scenic!
