Paragonah, Utah

This is not a well known trail through the mountains via a narrow canyon in the desert. The trail starts out just north of Paragonah off the frontage road on the east side of Interstate 15. See the map and you can also download the GPX track for this trip below.

Topography Map of the trail

Our friends Dan and Lynn were the trail guides on this trip. They had been part way into the canyon before but never crossed the mountains. And they wanted to explore a small trail into the next set of mountains. We did but didn't get too far. This trail is shown on the topo map as a "rough, steep trail" on the east side of Bear Valley.

Slideshow, Video

The short video above should tell you how scenic this trip was with a lot of different kinds of scenery. The steep, rough trail was run by Dan on his ATV later and it is a really bad trail, but passable. It does go through to Route 89 on the other side of the mountains.     Have fun!
