BBQ and Open House

Milt Thompson, the owner, and his wife, Sharlett, started this business in 1994 and now have all their children working and running the business. Son, Bryce, is the General Manager, and his other son Jeremy is now the Shop Foreman. Tara is the Office Manager and keeps things organized. This is who you'll be dealing with, a really nice family of knowledgeable people that like, off-roading / rock crawling, just as much as you do. Their work comes in mostly from southern Utah, but, they presently have customers from all over the US. including one from Florida. They must be popular and they know what they're doing. Here's where they are located -----
Memorial Day weekend (Friday and Saturday) Dixe 4Wheel Drive had an open house and BBQ. We went to meet the family and see their operation. They do work on vehicles other than Jeeps, any off-road vehicles in fact. But lets face it, there are more Jeeps out there than any other off road vehicle.

You can't miss their sign from St. George Blvd. During the hour we spent there quite a few people showed up. Their lot was full of vehicles they own and ones they were working on.
Don't miss the enlargements here. This is an exceptionally nice Jeep!
Here are a couple Jeeps that pulled in while we were there. We really liked the yellow one.
The 4 door Jeep on top of the water fall is from Florida. Most of these Jeeps were wearing 37 inch tires and bead locker rims. Not to mention all the other nice enhancements.
One of their own Jeeps was on display. Look at the enlargement.
Two more Jeeps that were built here at Dixie 4Wheel Drive
Rock Slide Engineering? I'm not sure what that is, but they have a very nice looking Jeep.

The family likes to share their knowledge and here I'm getting information from Milt about a Jeep they built. This one was interesting because of the added Turbo on the Jeep V6, which gives it 300 HP. Click on the enlargement for a close-up of the engine compartment.
Another one of Dixie 4Wheel Drive's Jeeps, The have trail rides on some weekends if you'd like to join them. Here's their Web Site  look under the Events tab.
The people from Zion Jeep Tours have a Jeep in for work.
The BBQ was nice with pulled pork sandwiches and a nice set up to enjoy your lunch. While eating we got to spend more time with Milt Thompson and learned a little more about his love of off-roading. You really should get to know this family and go on a trip wtih them.

If you want to see some awesome Jeeps, then stop by and say hello. We learned a lot!
