There are many "slot canyons" in the desert southwest. Some are worth seeing, some not so much. Some you need a guide and have to pay to see them. This one is easy to get to if you can drive in loose sand and is a short trip very near to Kanab, Utah. The colors in the sandstone are really worth seeing. And a big plus, it's an easy hike even for those with limited physical abilities. You will probably meet others looking to see the beautiful rock formations and colors here. There are literally dozen of miles of trails in the area. Be warned, some are ATV trails and would prove difficult in a 4x4.
This is only a 4.4 mile round trip and it took us about 2 hrs. which included the hike up the "slot canyon" and a short break for lunch. If you're in Kanab or just driving through Zion or Coral Pink Sand Dunes this makes a great side trip. Really worth seeing!

Peek-a-boo Canyon Topography Map
Please enlarge the map above for more detail and a better idea of where this slot canyon is located. If you watched the video above you now know that this is worth seeing. Please note: this canyon could be very dangerous if a flash flood were to occur while visiting this slot canyon. There are many more trails in the are to visit, so have fun be safe.
An acquaintance at St. George Jeepers (Ron B.) gave us tracks for more areas that he has seen in his ATV. He warned us that some of these trails may not be Jeep friendly!
