When the flowers are blooming in the desert it's quite a spectacle to behold. Now most people capture whole fields of wildflowers which is really nice and we've done that also. It is interesting that Arizona and New Mexico share the same gemstone -- Turquoise. Also interesting is the choice of Utah's State Bird; the California Gull. And Nevada chose a bush for it's State Flower?
Other Plant Life
Parasitic Plants, Fungi, Lichens and moss. These you could run into anytime in the desert. Sometimes you run into a lot of them in one place. Interesting and colorful. Have any photos you'd like to share?
