The rock and Gem shows in Quartzsite are not the only ones of great interest in the Southwest. This page is just a short preview of what you can expect to see at the Quartzsite Show.

Quartzsite is a busy town during the entire year; because of trucking and travelers that need services. But in the Winter months from mid-November till the end of April you can walk across the desert South of town on the roofs of Motorhomes and travel trailers. This may be an exaggeration; there are 1,000's of them. The town gets very busy right after the first of the year.

As you can see by the photos above -- it's not all about the Rock and Gem trade. This is also the biggest flea market in the world. There are literally 100's of parking lots with shops like those above with everything you can imagine and things you'd never think of.

Rock & Gem Shows

Now of course people come here just for the vendors, but there is a large crowd of rock and gem collectors plus people that are just fascinated that visit just for the Gems - Minerals. If you've never been here to see what available then you really need too. Some of the specimens here are just unbelievable.

There will be an endless supply of cut slabs and crystals. Every mineral and gem stone you've ever heard of will be here. And some of the largest specimens you've ever seen. Of course some of these are quite expensive -- but it doesn't cost anything to look. Some of the geodes pictured below were almost 3 ft.tall.
