Plug-in, review by in the desert
As you can see the presets (not all shown here) are pretty extensive. In the right hand panel are the adjustments to change the parameters. This is a complex, but easy to use program that can enhance your photos to make the object of your photo really stand out.
We all know what Center Focus is. Bokeh is the blur you get in the background and foreground of a photo when using a large aperture (f 2.8 or larger). With the Lens Effects plug-in you have both options available to you with different parameters. You can set it to smooth, enlarge, or decrease the area around the object you want to remain in focus. In the below example we wanted to have only a center focus and bokeh around the plant so that the rocks around the plant would not take away from the main object in the photo.
Another example below is of a photo of a Desert Bighorn Ram. Nice photo, but to bring out the ram in the shot we used center focus, adjusting the bokeh and then vignetting to help draw your attention to the animal. I can think of many other photos that would benefit from these effects. Try one yourself with the free trial download
If you try this programs "Trial Version" don't hesitate to adjust the sliders on the right, we did for the above images. This is an easy to learn program with a lot of nice options. A new free upgrade is now available.
Great Plug-in, give it a try HERE
Taking a photo like this of your favorite off-road vehicle with a fisheye lens would be nice. But you don't own one. With lens effects it's not a problem. Maybe you'd also like to add a vignette to the image after you gave it the fisheye lens effect? Easy to do. The next image is the original -- the one after that is the with the fisheye effect, vignette added. After you add the fisheye effect at the bottom right of the program interface just click APPLY and you'll then be able to add more effects, stacking the effects is a nice added feature of this program.
The effects on the left at the top have different options in the panel at the left, bottom (presets). Each effect has numerous presents and all can be adjusted to your liking in the Adjustments on the right side. This allows you to increase or decrease the desired effect and it's parameters.. For example if you don't own a fisheye lens, with Lens Effects you can incorporate this effect easily.
Center Focus, Bokeh
The red Navajo Sandstone in the above photo is pretty, but we were trying to draw attention to the Rock Columbine in the photo. The bokeh helps to attain this objective.
